Southern Bowl - Ista Weyr(#69RJ$)
Spread out along the larger end of the caldera, this end of the bowl is significantly larger than that which lies just beyond the small inlet of two feet of craggy mountains that creep down to form an incomplete partition. The walls of the ancient volcano, long-since slumbering inactive, spread upward with sheer cliffaces that reach into the sky, their outlines reminiscent of four pointed fingers and a thumb. Activity bustles in this area at nearly all hours of the day with dragons or people coming and going throughout the bowl on various errands.
Tucked into the southernmost wall are the living caverns, the gaping tunnel that leads within illuminated by the glowbaskets set within; just beside this is a larger entrance that leads to the dragon infirmary. The Hatching grounds are found in this area, with a tunnel a ground level just large enough to allow passage for an egg-heavy Queen and a larger, gaping entrance in the side of the mountain for draconic spectators to enter. Numerous weyrs dot the mountainside and the ground in this area, some darkened and some illuminated from within.

N'ait takes to leaning against the deep blue hide of his lifemate, his arms folding and his ankles crossing as he watches everything with the amusement that seems so trademark. Peruth leans down to nudge his rider in the side, eliciting a quiet chuckle and nod from N'ait as he says, "Aye, you're probably right, love." As Shaioni makes her dramatic entrance, he sends a smile and nod in her direction, "G'day, Shaioni. Need any help?"

Krellian smiles, "Ismaye was kind enough to give me a residents knot (I hope that's the right term) after the..err..on Turnover day that is.. As to coming to see Cymber..she and I were always close..kindred spirits I suppose.." and winks at Serriana

N'ait finds dead animals dramatic? Imagine the scene at the feeding grounds... Shai grins at Serriena and N'ait, shaking her head to the bluerider. " Not 'less y'know how t' skin a brace o' wherries," she replies, hefting the bag in his direction. " Then, if'n y'think y' can handle it..."

Tahayari treks across the bowl, feet scuffing against the ground as he makes his way towards the caverns. His path takes him towards the others, however, which causes the youth to appear more than a bit uneasy; he gulps, braces himself -- it's nearly impossible to sneak around, after all -- and approaches hesitantly. Maybe he can bolt.

Kaera chuckles and picks up her sketchbook, stands up. "Well, I'm glad you liked your drawing, Serriena. I'll see you later, okay?" Kaera offers a smile and a nod, and starts to walk towards the living caverns.

Krellian is openly staring at the dragon..being new to the weyr and all..he tries to keep the trembling down though..

Kaera heads into the long tunnel to disappear into the lower caverns.
Kaera has left.

"Cymber has always been very kind to me," Serriena says, "She has taught me alot." Upon hearing Isamaye's name mentioned she remarks, "I need to find the headwoman. I can never seem to catch her but I need to get another duty assigned to me." She reaches up brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.

Shaioni shakes her head, grinning slightly, and begins to pace through the group. A familiar form is spied, and the hunter pauses, peering through the people around her. Curious, stalking begins, as the woman slinks behind Serriena and around Peruth's side. Is that- ?

Krellian manages a smile to Serriena, "I suppose that's really Cymber's failing..she's always very kind..to most everyone.." and winks at his companion on the rock.

N'ait pauses for a moment in thought, then laughs brightly and shakes his head at Shaioni, "I don't even know what a brace of wherries -is-." The bluerider gives a mild shrug of his shoulders, and Peruth leans forward to whuffle Krellian curiously for staring at him. The blue then settles down, eyes lidding slightly.

Unaddressed, and apparently relieved, Tahayari continues on, doing his best to skirt the group at large. "Er, excuse me," he mutters once, shaky smile easily popping onto his features. Just a few more steps -- and then he'll be home free.

Serriena feels a bit of trembling from Krellian's hand. She pats his hand with hers. "They are large are they not?" she eyes the blue dragon Peruth. "I was quite apprehensive the day I first got here, whether or not from being a total stranger or seeing dragon's up close, I doubt I'll ever know. Perhaps a combination of both." Serriena smiles at Krellian's wink. "Cymber is kind. It is not necessarily a failing I would say." Serriena laughs, "After all, it makes her friends with alot of people."

" Show y' later, N'ait!" Shai calls absently, intent on Tahayari's retreating form. Hunter again stalks her prey, sliding behind the bluerider's back and popping out in the young man's path. Or near it, at least. " Hey!" she calls. " Hey!" A pause. /Is/ it- ? " Yari!"

Krellian blushes, "I was trying to hide it..it's just..so immense..and beautiful.." he shakes his head, "And Cymber is going to be riding one of those?" he asks, it's obvious he's still a bit rattled after his first day here in the Weyr.

Serriena nods her head in the affirmative. "Yes she shall. But I think dragons will never hurt their own riders. " She points to N'ait, "He appears healthy enough doesn't he? And the only one who can beat him up is Jalani I should venture to say. Or Bess." There is mirth in her eyes as Serriena says these words.

Krellian blinks, "Jalani? Bess?"

Tahayari freezes, just like one of Shaioni's wherries, and nearly takes off for the safety of the caverns. The shortened name, however, grabs his attention and he squints at the figure in front of him. "Shai?" he inquires hesitantly. "What're you doing here?" His posture relaxes a wee bit as the foe turns out to be friend, and he even offers up a genuine grin.

Mwahaha!!! N'ait notices Tahayari, giving the lad a bright smile and nod as he says, "Hey, a couple new faces all in one day. We're being taken over." Teasing is what tiggers do best. Er, or blueriders, as it were. N'ait grins over towards Krellian for a second to say, "Hey, don't say that. He's hard enough to live with -already-." Still, the young man is surely proud of his lifemate, though he's not really prone to showing it all that well. Done with his work and mischief here for the moment, he begins walking towards the bowl, a light humming turning up in his throat. Yet, he is stopped by Serriena's words and turns to look at her, expression set into an innocent expression, "Lovely? Beat me up? Why would she ever do that?" He makes no comment on.. ah.. Bess.

Serriena leans forward to whisper quickly into Krellian's ear, an explanation.

" Living." Perhaps the word is a bit shortly said, but then... Shai looks a bit suspicious. " What're /you/ doing here? Does yer father know where y' are? Does /my/... uh... does Bheran know yer here?" Does he know /she's/ here?

Krellian manages to catch all of that..more or less..and nods, smiling slightly.

Leaning back on the rock, lounging with her legs hanging over the side, Serriena asks, "So what do you like to do Krellian? When you are not visiting your sister and moving into Weyr's that is?"

Krellian smiles, "I can think of nothing I'd rather do, than to be here with you now mi'lady Serriena," he assures, staring into her eyes.

Spotted and spied and talked to -- Tahayari's done for. He's not quite certain how to respond to N'ait's jesting, but manages to get out in his Igenite drawl, "Er. Sure." He'll just nod agreeably and hope to escape. "Yeah, I noticed," he replies dryly to Shaioni. His head shakes, next, and he answers, "I don't think anyone knows that you were -- are -- here, including Bheran." A pause. "My fa? Yeah. He sent me." The last phrase comes out a bit pained, and his face convults into a grimace.

"Good sir," Serriena stares back, entranced. Krellian is very handsome. Her tongue comes darting out to wet her peach lips. Why does she suddenly feel like someone socked her over the head with a bag of firestones? And it is getting warm even though it is not all that hot today.

Shaioni's eyebrow lifts curiously, and she places the bag on the ground, leaning against the length of her bow staff. " Yer fa sent ye here? Why? Wha' could Ista possibly offer you tha' Igen can't? Yer a Blooded son... we're jus' a Weyr full o' people. Y' canna learn nothin' from us." Is she dissuading, or digging?

N'ait suddenly brightens at the prospect of being able to do mischief - as we all know he will - and calls to Serriena, "Just kiss him and get it over with, Serriena!" With that, the bluerider does a convenient disappearing act, going into the tunnel that leads to the living caverns.

Krellian glances towards N'ait with a slight grin, "Helpful fellow that Serriena..care to go back inside and discuss his suggestion?"

"Yes." Fidget. "He...he thinks that I need to loosen up or something." Tahayari is distinctly uncomfortable, nearly squirming under Shai's gaze. "Meet new people. You know." All the things that he despises so passionately.

A blush stains her cheeks at N'ait's words. She was thinking of that very thing. Hearing Krellian's words she glances at him. She appears to think for a few minutes. "Alright," she acquieses nodding her mind made up.

N'ait heads into the long tunnel to disappear into the lower caverns.
N'ait has left.

Shaioni snorts, glancing towards N'ait. " Aye, I've been tol' th' same thing once 'r twice." Shaking her head, she pulls up the bag, jerking her head at the boy. " C'mon, Yari. Lemme drop these off, then y' can tell me what's been happenin' at Igen these past turns."

Krellian smiles, rising off of the rock and bowing towards Serriena as he extends a hand, "Mi'lady?" he asks

Serriena takes Krellian's hand allowing him to pull her along with him. She says, "Where to?"

Tahayari agrees almost instantly, nodding his head with noticeable relief. "Sure." A backwards is glance is shot after the others left in the bowl, but he's content enough to follow after Shaioni.
